Florence by Cy DeCosse

Florence by Cy DeCosse was a special exhibition by invitation only held in the Galleria delle Arti del Disegno at the famous Accademia of Art in Florence, Italy. The show is dedicated to the city of Florence and to the friends, artists and artisans that make this city a beacon of art and culture.

For over fifty years Florence has been a muse to me. I first arrived in Florence as a Fulbright student in 1954. I began my study of photography at the Institute of Art at Porta Romana with Maestro Renzo Maggini.


From him I learned principles that still guide my work today. Since my student days, I have returned again and again to this city of art to draw inspiration from the creativity and craftmanship which is everywhere in Florence."
